Food for Familes

Times are tough and given the latest economic reports out of Washington DC they may get even tougher. It's during these times that food banks and other charitable organizations start to see their inventory of donated foods dwindle as more working families start to feel the effect of rising energy cost on their pocket books.

Here in the DC area, News Channel Four, along with the Nurses of Georgetown University Hospital, the SalvationArmy, and the Food 4 Families partners are getting together to help feed thousands of hungry families in the community this holiday season.

You can also donate non-perishable, currently dated foods on Wednesday, November 19th through Friday, November 21st from 6:45am until 7:30pm in the Main Building First Floor Lobby at Georgetown University Hospital, 3800 Reservoir Road, Washington, DC.
Call 202-444-1215 for directions or more information.

If Wednesday is not a good day for you can also donate on Monday, November 24th! Join NBC4, Majic 102.3, Praise104.1, and 93.9 WKYS, broadcasting LIVE ON LOCATION and ACCEPTING DONATIONS from 6am to 6pm at the Verizon Center, F Street NW in Washington, D.C. Meet NEWS4’s Pat Lawson Muse, and your favorite personalities from Majic 102.3, Praise 104.1, and 93.9 WKYS. We’ll have special thank-you gifts, surprise guests, and lots of fun!

Here at Try Change we like to bring you stories of positive change and hope in our communities. Food 4 Families is one way that we can help...
