Financing Change

I was flipping through one of my magazines this evening and found a great story about a woman named Roshaneh Zafar. She is a Pakistani woman from a well to do family that decided to take her Yale education and attempt to change the culture of her home country. Small amounts of money are able to help women in extreme poverty start their own businesses. They there by improve there lives and the lives of their children. They are able to send their children to school and in doing so change the future for their children and possibly the next generation.

Now through the Grameen Foundation they are spreading this concept through out the world, including the US, Africa, and Asia. Here is a link to just one of the many success stories on their website: Yuli's story

One person striving to make a difference can turn into a collaboration of many people changing a generation.

Have a great night!

Chrissie
